✦ Synopsis
Deuteron spin relaxation times TX, T2, solid echoes and spin-alignment echoes have been investigated in toluenedg and toluenex!s, respectively_ Whereas a Cole-Davidson distribution of correlation times accounts for T1 and T2 at h&her temperatures, there arc indications that a non-exponential correlation function for molecular reorientation is more appropriate at low temperatures close to the glass transition.

A method for evaluating 2H NMR stimulated echo experiments in the time domain is presented. It exhibits a high sensitivity to molecular reorientation mechanisms for small angles. Reorientations with jump angles below 25degrees can be resolved with a precision of approximately 1degrees so that, e.g.,
## Abstract Deuteron T~1~ and T~2~ was studied as a function of hydration in homopolyglycine (PG) and homopolyproline (PP). Water deuteron relaxation rates in PG conform to a hydration model involving two types of primary hydration sites where water is directly bonded to the polymer. Once these sit
