✦ Synopsis

In the title compound, C 17 H 16 N 2 O 3 , the dihedral angle between the benzene rings is 1.56 (7) . The nitro group is coplanar with the attached benzene ring while the dimethylamino group is twisted slightly away from the attached benzene ring. A weak intramolecular C-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bond is present in the molecular structure. The crystal structure is stabilized by intermolecular C-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds, forming chains along the [011] direction.
