Abstract
The in situ hydrothermal reactions of UO~2~(NO~3~)~2~ with 1‐oxo‐4‐cyanopyridine (ocpy) and ethyl (S)‐lactate (e‐la) afforded two unprecedented chiral 2D neutral luminescent square grids, uranyl‐bis(1‐oxo‐4‐pyridylcarboxylate) UO~2~(opyca)~2~ (1) and homochiral uranyl‐bis[(S)‐lactate] (2).
