โฆ Synopsis
Samples of SrCOI, irradiated in a nuclear reactor, have been used to determine the ratio between the activation cross sections of the two proceases NSr(n, ~)ssSr (65 d) and uSr(n, ~)ssSr. Methods of absolute ~ and counting have been used for this purpose. The ratio between the two isotopic cross sections is found to be 318-4-21, from which an activation cross section of 1.594-0.11 b can be calculated for the reaction s4Sr(n, 7,) uSr (65 d), if the value 5 ร 10 -s b is assumed for the cross section oi the process sssr (n, ~)ssSr.
