In the title compound, C 7 H 5 F 2 NO 2 , the two independent molecules are linked together by a combination of N-HÁ Á ÁO, O-HÁ Á ÁO and C-HÁ Á ÁF hydrogen bonds, forming a onedimensional structure along the c axis.
