## Abstract Highly specific proton lineโ€broadening and paramagnetic ^13^C shifts observed for Nโ€butylโ€N(4โ€methyloxazolโ€2โ€yl)โ€2โ€methylpropionamide in the presence of fluorinated lanthanide shift reagents, are absent when nonโ€fluorinated reagents are used.
