โœฆ Synopsis

The impact strength of UDmodel-composites was studied systematically by reinforcement with varied surface treated type I and type II C-fibres. The results show a different behaviour in crack-propagation using high modulus or high tensile C-fibres. This different behaviour is discussed especially with respect to the ILSS of the composites.

The pyrolysis of carbon/phenolic composites is a critical step in the manufacture of high temperature carbon/carbon components. Understanding the reaction kinetics of the pyrolysis reactions is essential for advancement in the processing of carbon/carbon materials. To increase the understanding of t

The processing-structure-properties relationship of two-dimensional carbon/carbon (C/C) during the chemical vapor infiltration (CVI) process was investigated. The weight gain, density, porosity, flexural strength and flexural modulus of C/C composites were measured as a function of CVI processing ti
