✦ Synopsis

Molecules of 2,4-diamino-1,3,5-triazine (guanamine), C 3 H 5 N 5 , are associated in the crystal structure via four independent N-HÁ Á ÁN hydrogen bonds to form a three-dimensional framework. The hydrogen-bonding scheme involves all hydrogen donor/acceptor sites. The molecular geometry of the aromatic ring conforms to C 2v symmetry within experimental error.
