✦ Synopsis

A facile synthesis of 2,2 0 -bipyridinium fluorochromate(VI), (C 10 H 9 N 2 )[CrO 3 F], was developed by reacting CrO 3 with HF in the presence of 2,2 0 -bipyridine. The structure of the title compound consists of discrete cations and anions. The coordination around Cr is distorted tetrahedral. metal-organic papers m614 O ¨zyu ¨rek et al.
