## Abstract ## Objective There is a recognized but poorly understood relationship between late‐life depression (LLD) and progressive dementia. Both cognitive impairment co‐occurring with LLD and a late age‐of‐onset of first lifetime depressive episode appear to be associated with subsequent progre
