✦ Synopsis

The title compound, C 7 H 14 O 5 S 2 , consists of a sevenmembered dithiepane ring with two O atoms bonded to each S atom and a methoxymethyl group at the 2-position. A few close contacts seem to in¯uence the geometry of the dithiepane ring.
