**The Reaction of 2,2′‐Bipyrrole with Triethyl Orthoformate** 2,2′‐Bipyrrole (**1**) and triethyl orthoformate react in the presence of a Lewis acid to the hitherto unknown 1,9‐Bis(2‐pyrrolyl)pyrromethene (**4**) which was identified by spectroscopic methods (MS, NMR).

## Abstract Auf Grund yon pK‐Werten und IR.‐Spektren wurde gezeigt, dass dem Reaktionsprodukt aus α‐Pyridon und Chloramin die Konstitution eines 1‐Amino‐2‐pyridons zukommt.
