✦ Synopsis

The title compound, C~12~H~9~ClN~4~OS~2~, was synthesized via condensation of 5-chloromethyl-3-(4-chlorophenyl)-1,2,4-oxadiazole with 5-mercapto-2-methyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole. The benzene and oxadiazole rings are coplanar due to the extended aromatic system. The angle between this plane and the thiadiazole ring is 82.2 (3)°.
