The non-hydrogen skeleton of the title molecule, C 10 H 10 N 2 O 3 , is planar and intramolecular NÐHÁ Á ÁO and OÐHÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds contribute to this planarity. The molecule exists in the space isomeric Z stereoisomer.
