Abstract
The configuration of some 1,4‐dihydroxy‐2,3‐dialkylcyclopentanes is assigned on the base of their ^1^H‐NMR spectral parameters. The interaction of the hydroxyl group with some side chains is discussed. It is shown that the magnitude of the ^1^H‐NMR spectral parameters of specific hydrogen atoms in some side chains is dependent on the configuration.
