✦ Synopsis
The positions of conformational equiliirium in disubstituted arene chromium tricarbonyl complexes, i.e. alkylanisole chromium tricmbonyl complexes and alkylbenzoate chromium tricarbonyl complexes, have been determined by 'H N M R spectroscopy. It has been found that the donor effect is the dominant factor in determining the preferred conformation.

## Abstract It is shown that ^13^C NMR is not suitable for determining the conformation of the Cr(CO)~3~ group in monosubstituted chromium tricarbonyl complexes. However,. ^1^H NMR can be used for such determinations if one takes substituent effects into account, whn necessary, and an appropriate r
## Abstract The methoxy group conformation of chromone derivatives was studied by ^1^H NMR methods. For the qualitative determination of the conformational preferences of the model compounds, proton relaxation rates, spin‐spin decoupling difference spectroscopy and 2D COSY experiments were applied.
