✦ Synopsis
The isomorphous structures of M(dca) 2 (phen)(H 2 O)$MeOH, MZMn, Fe, Co, Ni, Zn and Cd, dcaZdicyanamide, N(CN) 2 K , phenZ4,7phenanthroline contain 1D coordination polymer chains in which each metal atom is connected to two others by two pairs of m 1,5 bridging dca anions, which coordinate in the equatorial positions. The axial positions of the metal are occupied by monodentate water and phen ligands. The chains are further linked into an overall 3D network by hydrogen bonding interactions between the water ligands, the uncoordinated nitrogen atoms of the phen ligands, and the intercalated methanol molecules.
