✦ Synopsis
The Ðrst 19F,13C HMQC correlations with full carbon decoupling and the Ðrst HMBC correlations using Ñuorine detection methods are reported, and combined with 19F-decoupled 13C data and 19F, 19F COSY and TOCSY to derive the 19F and 13C assignments for the highly Ñuorinated alkanol 8,8,8 7,7 6,6 5,5 4,4 3,3-tridecaÑuorooctan-1-ol. The analyses of unique sets of multiple 19F,13C and 1H,13C cross peaks provides information about the relative signs of the coupling constants at the Ñuorocarbon/hydrocarbon interface.
