The anisotropy of the nuclear spin lattice relaxation rate T1 "! of planar 170 is reported for the "90 K" and "60 K" phases of YBCO single crystals. We show that the model of Millis Monlen and Pines cannot account for the "60 K" phase data.

The temperature dependences of the 63Cu nuclear spin-lattice relaxation rate 1 / T1 and Knight shift K in YBa2Cu4Os have been measured by nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) techniques. In the normal state, both the 1/T~ for the Cu (2) sites and the in-plane compo
