The electron donor-acceptor interactions between 2,4-dinitrophenol and a series of n electron donors have been investigated in hexane by electronic absorption spectroscopy. The interaction is moderately strong. Linear correlations exist between spectroscopic and thermodynamic properties of complexes

The electron donor acceptor complexes of iodine with phospholipids such as phosphatidylethanolamine (PE), lysophosphatidylcholine ILPC) and sphingomyelin (SM) have been studied spectrophotometrically in cyclohexane solution as well as in solid film. From the results, the electron donating properties

The absorption spectra of C6o and C7o undergo dramatic changes from a neat toluene solution to a neat triethylamine (TEA) solution. It is shown that the observed spectral changes are due to the bleaching of the C6o and C7o monomer absorptions and the absorption contributions of fullerene-TEA reactio
