## Abstract The hydrogenโbonded charge transfer complexes of aniline with ฯโacceptors (or proton donors) such as 2,5โ, 2,6โ, 3,4โ and 3,5โdichlorophenol were prepared. The ^35^Cl nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) frequencies of these charge transfer complexes in the temperature range 77โ300 K were

A relationship between the chromatographic retention and the thermodynamic equilibrium constant for charge-transfer complexes, &, has been derived based on the Riedo-Kovats equation. It avoids the drawbacks conventional chromatographic methods used for studying such complexes.
