✦ Synopsis

Abstract

Die Synthese der im Titel genannten Verbindung 6 wird beschrieben. Die NMR‐spektroskopisch nachgewiesene Diastereotopie der CH~3~‐Gruppen in 6 beweist dessen chirale Struktur. Aufgrund der Untersuchung der Temperaturabhängigkeit des ^1^H‐NMR‐Spektrums von 6 läßt sich die freie Aktivierungsenthalpie für die Rotation der Endgruppen in 6 zu Δ__G__≠≧ 23 kcal·mol^−1^ abschätzen.

In the title compound, C 19 H 13 Br 2 NO 4 S 2 , the two bromothienyl rings have different orientations with respect to the carbonyl groups. The nitro group is almost coplanar with the benzene ring to which it is attached.
