✦ Synopsis
Abstract
^13^C‐NMR. spectra of pterin, xanthopterin, isoxanthopterin, leucopterin, lumazine and of the model compounds isocytosine and desamino‐isocytosine have been measured as anions and cations in 1 M NaOD, CF~3~COOH, H~2~SO~4~ and FSO~3~H solutions. The spectra were analysed by means of heteronuclear double resonance, with the aid of non‐decoupled spectra, and by spectral comparison. The results are interpreted in terms of the ionisation state of the pteridines in the four solvents and are compared with those obtained from ^1^H‐NMR. spectroscopy.

## Abstract The ^13^C NMR spectral data of 18 eudesmane derivatives, mainly acids and esters of natural and synthetic origin, are reported, and the γ‐effect of the epoxide ring in two diastereoisomeric epoxy esters is discussed.
The carbon-13 chemical shifts of mono-and 1,3-disubstituted adamantanes are reported. The effects caused by the substituents are compared with those met in aliphatic and alicyclic compounds. It is shown that the 1,4-interactions have only minor importance in 1-substituted adamantanes. The influence
The positions of the chemical shifts in the table match those of the carbon atoms at the head of a column. Assignments with similar chemical shifts may be interchanged. Fourth signal not resolved. Signals superimposed.
