✦ Synopsis
The 13C NMR spectra of 26 eudesmanolides of natural and synthetic origin have been measured, including the naturally occurring sesquiterpene lactones artemisin, torrentin, rothin-A and rothin-B and several semi-synthetic eudesman-12,dolides obtained from artemisin. The chemical shift values of the different compounds are compared and the effects of the substituents are discussed.

## Abstract The ^13^C NMR spectral data of 18 eudesmane derivatives, mainly acids and esters of natural and synthetic origin, are reported, and the γ‐effect of the epoxide ring in two diastereoisomeric epoxy esters is discussed.
## Abstract The ^13^C NMR spectra of eight eudesmanolides have been measured and the chemical shifts assigned. Among the compounds studied are the naturally occurring α‐cyclocostunolide, santamarin, arbsculin A and reynosin.
## Abstract The ^13^C NMR spectra of all __trans__‐styryldiazines, methyldiazines and __trans__‐styrylpyridines have been fully assigned. Empirical shift increments were obtained for the chemical shifts of the carbon atoms; these are discussed in the light of theoretical considerations.
