A set of 3-alkylaminoacroleins (R1NHCHxCHCHxO, R1 \ alkyl) were studied by 13C and 1H NMR spectroscopy in solutions of di †erent solvents and, for the simplest representative of the series, 3methylaminoacrolein, at di †erent temperatures. The equilibrium solutions of these compounds consists of mixt

✦ Synopsis
Abstract
The ^13^C NMR spectra of four pairs of 1,3,4‐thiadiazole/thiadiazoline isomers have been recorded using broad band and off‐resonance proton decoupling techniques and in the coupled mode. Differences in the chemical shifts of the heterocyclic ring and the carbonyl carbons allow identification of the isomer present. Their IR and UV spectra are in agreement with literature reports for azole/azoline analogues.

## Abstract The IR, ^1^H and ^13^C NMR spectra of six esters of 1‐aryl‐4‐methyl‐3‐ and 5‐pyrazolecarboxylic acids are reported. On the basis of their spectra the 3‐ or 5‐position of the substituent in such structural isomeric pairs can be established without recourse to the spectrum of the other me
A series of 14 3-substituted 4-oxoquinolones with or without a substituent (methyl, ethyl) in position 1 were prepared. Literature and measured data were used to study the inÑuence of the substituent on the shifts of carbon atoms of these compounds, which are model compounds for antibacterial drugs
## Abstract The assignment of all ring carbons of 37 derivatives of 1,3,4‐oxa‐ or thiadiazoles and of seven isosydnones is described. In some cases, ^13^C‐labelled compounds were used. The analysis of substituent effects and the calculation of charge densities of some of the derivatives suggest tha
