## Abstract Liquid perfluorocarbons exhibit unique physical–chemical characteristics such as extraordinary stability, combined hydrophobia and lipophobia, low surface tension and a capacity to carry large quantities of gas. They have found widespread use in industry, medicine and biology even thoug
