✦ Synopsis

Systematical studies of residual lamellar compounds (HISO and Br,) on soft carbons heat treated at various temperatures have been done. They confirm that those carbons contain elementary layers of various types [Carbon 1, 471 (1964)]. F, layers retain the whole HSO,-ions, F; retain the half amount. On the contrary F; retain the total amount of Br, inserted. 138. Wettability of graphite by barium fluoride-calcium fluoride eutectic.

## Abatrnct -The superposition of two-dimensional crystalline lattices on a graphite plane is studied, and the different unit lattices thus obtained are determined in view of establishing which are the formulas which might be applicable to graphite lamellar compounds. It is shown that only the rec
