✦ Synopsis
Microprocessor-based monitoring and control system for power system stability is described in this paper. A new method for monitoring and controlling the stability condition of the generator and system using the measured airgap fluxes has been developed and implemented on a microprocessor system. In order to check the validity of the proposed system, experimental investigations were performed on a laboratory-model power system. Problems encountered throughout the experiments are also discussed.
