Mitt. uber die Depolymerisation des polymeren l-~thory-l-methyl-l,2-siloxacyclopentans Von GOTZ KOERNER und GERD ROSSMY (Eingegangen am 6. Mai 1966) ZUSAMMENFASSUNG: Polymeres l-~thoxy-l-methyl-l,2-siloxacyclopentan depolymerisiert beim Auflosen in CCI, unter Entstehung des Monomeren. Die Bildung des Monomeren erfolgt nach einer Reaktion nullter Ordnung mit einer Aktivierungsenergie von 12,O i 1,2 kcal/Mol. Daraus folgt, da13 die Depolymerisation ausschlieBlich vom Kettenende her erfolgt, und zwar unter Erhaltung der Endgruppenkonzentration.

SUMMARY:

Polymeric ~thoxy-l-methyl-l,2-siloxacyclopentane depolymerizes in CCI, solution forming the monomer. This cleaving reaction is of zero order with an activation energy of 12,O i 1,2 kcal./mole. That means, that the depolymerization takes place only a t the chain ends without change in the number of endgroups.
