The title compound, C 32 H 28 O 4 , crystallizes with two conformers, and , in the asymmetric unit. In both conformers, the benzoyl and methoxyphenyl groups are in cis positions. The cyclobutane rings are puckered, with average absolute torsion angles of 10.8 (2) and 11.4 (1) for conformers and , re

✦ Synopsis
In the title compound, C 30 H 20 N 4 O 10 , a typical bonding pattern is observed for the cyclobutane ring, with an average bond length of 1.560 (3) A ˚and bond angles of around 90 . In the crystal structure, the relatively short distances between the centroids of the benzene rings of neighbouring molecules [3.865 (3) and 3.845 (3) A ˚] indicate the existence ofinteractions.
