transfer function matrix structure, are discussed. The choice of performance weights is discussed with regard to the economics and process-related impo. trance of plant outputs. A IX-Controller is obtained which provides robust performance in the face of significant model uncertainties.
117 Application oCFuzzy Inference to Gain Tuning in Thickness Control of Multi-High Roiling Mills IL Nose, A. Watatani, H. Katayama, pp 555-558
This paper investigates the application of fuzzy inference to the automatic tuning of control grill in predictive thickness control of multiple-height rolling mills. First, the tuning expertise of the operator was extracted and expressed in fuzzy roles. Next, tuning of the fuzzy rules was carried out through simulation. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method was verified by a roiling test.
For tuning of the rules, which is the most troublesome of these procedures, a method of observing the transition of fired rules on the rule table is presented.
Abstracts implementation aspects, shows that the observer requires less computational effort for similar performance.
