In this rapidly changing global scenario, medical science has changed a lot. Clinical medicine cannot be confined to history and clinical examination, but it should include interpretation of investigations on the backgroud of clinical setting. This book "101 Cases in Respiratory Medicine" is intended primarily to the postgraduate students and residents, and divided into three chapters. The objective of first chapter is to familiarize the readers with the clinical approach to respiratory system. History taking is the most important part of clinical approach in respiratory system and is more helpful than clinical examination. In general survey, some points are more important for respiratory medicine and they need special emphasis, which are briefly explained in first chapter. Second chapter covers discussion on clinical data analysis. This process helps to narrow differential diagnosis to least number of possible probabilities and to plan least number of investigations, and it requires knowledge, experience, analytic skill, and most importantly time to spend with patient. The third and last chapter of this book presents a longitudinal view of sufferings of 101 patients of author. The author narrated their story in this chapter as they were unfolded before him, and includes his successes as well as mistakes also.
