✦ Synopsis
The title compound, C~18~H~11~F~4~NO, a Schiff base, has been structurally characterized. One intramolecular hydrogen bond influences the conformation of the molecule. The crystal structure is extended into a one-dimensional chain along the c axis via π–π stacking interactions.

The title compound, C 27 H 16 Cl 2 F 6 N 4 O 2 ÁH 2 O, was obtained by the reaction of 2,4-dichlorobenzaldehyde and 2-phenyl-5trifluoromethyl-2H-pyrazol-3-ol in aqueous media without any catalyst. In the crystal structure, both intra-and intermolecular hydrogen bonds are found.
The title compound, C 16 H 6 F 12 , has been obtained as a byproduct of the reaction between 2,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyllithium and zinc(II) chloride. The asymmetric unit contains two independent molecules with a similar almost perpendicular conformation of the biphenyl fragments.
