✦ Synopsis
07 Alternative energy sources (bioconversion energy) respect to external disturbances such as commutation notches and switching transients; and (e) flexibility of control over speed and accuracy. Rate of change of frequency is also directly provided by the estimator, which is a requirement in some system protection algorithms. In a highly polluted environment, the proposed estimator can be set to measure the frequency in few cycles of the signal and with a steady-state error which is limited to 0.02 Hz.

03102359 A steady state model of gas-char reactions in a downdraft biomass gasifier Giltrap, D. L. et al. Solar Energy, 2003, 74, (l), 85-91. A phenomenological model of downdraft gasification under steady state operation is developed based on previously published values for the reaction kinetics in the reduction zone. The model predicts a product gas with a composition similar to that found experimentally, although the model over-predicts the methane concentration. The accuracy of the model is limited by the availability of data on the initial conditions at the top of the reduction zone.
