with Nz, Hz, COz, Hz0 and traces of HzS and SO2 are returned to the suction mains of the COG stream for rescrubbing. To prevent release into the atmosphere, the whole process operates in a closed-loop and the purified COG is sent downstream for combustion. The emissions of SO, are less than 300 parts per million. 00102328

A method for automatic image analysis of coke texture has been developed. The method uses an optical polarizing reflecting light microscope, with automatic sample movement. A series of images sized 405 X 270 mm is captured using a CCD video camera. These images are subdivided into six squares at 135

Pyrolysis of a lubricating oil waste with or without coal yields important quantities of valuable products such as C 1 ยฑC 3 alkanes, C 2 ยฑC 4 oleยฎns and BTX. However, information on molecular structures of tars obtained is only available in terms of analyses in the GCยฑMS ranges. This range correspon

This study is concerned with the co-carbonization of coal-tar pitch with weak-coking coal mixtures for the production of high-strength metallurgical cokes for the blast furnace process. Several lab-scale testing methods have been applied to the pitch/coal blends including coking tests, ditatometry,
