Calculation of combustion zone height in coke-fired cupola (coke pieces of various shape and dimensions) Longa, W. :Mercr//. Frjun&y Eng., 1998, 24, (3). 159~~168 Presented is a formula, suitable for calculating the height of a combustion zone in a coke-fired cupola, when the coke charges are composed of fractions, varying in shape and dimensions. There is a random system for the burning of the different diameter coke pieces and bulk density is used to define the density of their arrangement.
