โœฆ Synopsis

0 1 Solid fuels (preparation) are mtrinsically more difficult to describe and model than gaseous and liquid fuels, the development of more fundamental descriptions of the char formation and reaction processes shows great potential. 00102275 Study on occurrence of arsenic in coal by sequential chemical extract Zhao, F. CI al. Hurrnjing Ke.yue, 1999, 20, (2), 79-81. (In Chinese) A five-step sequential chemical extraction method was performed to study the occurrence of trace arsenic in bituminous coals and anthracite. The samples used in the investigation include CH7COONa, CH3COOH-NHzOH.HCI.

NaOH-Na,POa, HN07-H~02, and HF-HClO+ From the results it is evident that there is a variety of occurrence modes of trace arsenic (e5.5 &g ') in coal. Arsenic in coal with a low ash content (~30%) primarily exists in organic matter, arsenic in coal with high ash content (>30%) is mainly present in lattice of clay minerals.
